Charges

Persons using the scheme are asked to pay 55p per mile plus a £3 admin surcharge for each journey.

 

There are fixed rates for journeys within South Molton and from the town to North Devon Hospital.

 

Journeys within South Molton carry a minimum charge of £7 plus £3 admin fee for a total of £10.

Typical example fixed costs including admin fee:

• South Molton to North Devon District Hospital + return: £17.50/£25

• South Molton to Exeter Hospitals + return: £45/£50

Every effort is made to try to engage a volunteer from nearby, within your town or village, but this is not always possible.

​

Please note: Journey costs are based on the total mileage from the volunteer drivers home address, to the client address and to the appointment venue and return. (plus the admin charge).

As a result charges between different drivers may vary.
